Happy engagement-versary, Jas!

Burnt cookies

I made orange chocolate-chip cookies this morning. They looked pretty before I put them in the oven. But then I burnt them. Apparently the oven in our new house runs hot. At least it wasn't as bad as the time I put easymac noodles in the microwave without water. I've been trying to dig up the pictures of that, but so far no luck.

Inspired

From the Pioneer Square bus tunnel stairs

A quote going up the stairs out of the bus tunnel:
"My attention was thus turned to the Sound, and I formed the purpose of looking in that direction." -Arthur Denny, early Seattle founder/settler
