how to make homemade corndogs
figure out how to get cornmeal batter to stick to hotdogs. decide that some wooden chopsticks might help.
get a (real) dog to lay by your feet for moral support. not to be confused in any way with the hot dogs you're working with.
open up the fryer (pre-heated).
try frying while corndog is still on the chopstick.
realize it's easier without the chopstick.
enjoy piles and piles of goodness! and try to ignore the obvious nutritional concerns.

pretzel dog
this is nilla, who weighs approximately 45 pounds, curled up into peet's bed. peet is approximately 14 pounds. perhaps it is time to get her a bed of her own? she's apparently desperate for one.

for knitting posterity
The sock on the left is an average-sized women's sock from a department store. The sock on the right is my first attempt at knitting a sock (I didn't close the toe, that's why it looks weird at the toe). It's HUGE! SO HUGE!
I am now knitting another sock (not pictured) that is a much more reasonable size. I bought smaller needles to use with the same yarn.
Anyway, I thought I'd better take a picture of it since I'm going to unravel it today so that I can make a (hopefully) wearable-sized sock.
